The Colorado Department of Agricultural (CDA) Small Farmers and Ranchers Loan Fund is a lending program that offers financing to beginning farmers and ranchers, and businesses that transform, package, process, store, or grade Colorado farm or ranch products..
Who is eligible?
To be eligible for the Colorado Department of Agriculture (CDA) Future Loan Program the primary borrower must be a registered business entity or sole proprietor in the State of Colorado.
Additionally, the borrower must be in the agricultural industry or be a business that supports the agricultural industry. This can include (but is not limited to) farms, ranches, food processing/packaging, technology, companies related to agriculture. Additional businesses that support growing of crops, aquaculture, rearing of livestock, and packagers of crops or livestock.
What can you use the program for?
Loan funds can be used for most business purposes, including, but not limited to: operating expenses, the purchase of land and equipment, business improvements, worker wages, and conservation projects..
- Loan amount: Up to $250,000
- Deferred Payments for up to 90 days, upon request
