Strategic planning session groupFirst Southwest Community Fund is proud to celebrate 10 years of supporting rural entrepreneurs across Colorado through education, grants, and lending services. Over the past decade, we have played a role in the creation of nearly 1,000 new jobs in rural Colorado and have provided more than $29 million in loans. Explore a deeper look at our impact over the years.

Throughout our service to rural Coloradans, we have witnessed the evolving needs of communities and the emergence of new opportunities. FSWCF is committed to staying aligned with these changes, and our team works tirelessly to ensure that our products and services deliver maximum benefit to our customers and the broader rural communities.

One of the ways we ensure our work remains effective is through strong collaboration between our team and board. Our recent strategic retreat in early April was a key example of this joint effort. Over two days, participants reviewed the current challenges and opportunities facing rural communities, alongside an assessment of our existing program offerings. We were encouraged to see that many of our initiatives are meeting the needs we observe, but we also identified areas where new programs and services could make a significant impact. Keep an eye out for potential new programs and opportunities in the coming year!

We reaffirmed the importance of keeping the voices of our community members and customers at the center of everything we do. That is why your feedback is so valuable-whether through responses to our monthly newsletter, emails to info@fswcf.org, or participation in our quarterly entrepreneur success survey (which also offers a chance to win a $100 gift card!).

While the retreat generated many productive discussions and ideas for better serving you, our customers, the most valuable takeaway was experiencing the passion and excitement demonstrated by every team and board member in attendance. The energy and dedication shown during our strategy sessions gives us great confidence that the next 10 years of FSWCF will be even more impactful than the first.
