Leading Edge Workshop Success Story: From Connection to Collaboration
When entrepreneurs learn alongside each other, connections happen naturally, and sometimes those connections turn into business.
Good Vibes River Gear, a Craig, Colorado outdoor retailer, is now an official retailer of Sundial Dog Gear, ultralight technical dog outerwear handmade in Louisville, Colorado. The partnership came together through FSWCF's Leading Edge workshop series led by Northwest SBDC, where both businesses crossed paths.
Sundial Dog Gear was founded by thru-hiker Andrea, who designed a three-layer system, the Traverse Series, after her dog Kiefer was caught soaked and shivering in a hailstorm above treeline on the Colorado Trail. Every piece is sewn to order in Colorado using recycled fabrics. Good Vibes River Gear is now carrying the Traverse Fleece, the base layer of that system, bringing Colorado-made trail gear to the heart of Northwest Colorado.
