FSWCF 2026 Staff Retreat

The FSWCF 2026 staff retreat in Salida, Colorado brought our team together for a focused, high-impact day that strengthened both how we communicate and how we make lending decisions. Through applied exercises and real-world scenarios, our staff built shared language, increased confidence, and aligned communication more clearly with mission, customers, and community impact. The training emphasized clarity, trust, and consistency equipping staff to navigate difficult conversations, and strengthen external relationships. 

The retreat also sharpened core lending skills by guiding staff through structured, repeatable approaches to financial analysis, customer pre-qualification, risk assessment, and loan committee preparation. We combined practical tools with collaborative discussion, the retreat reinforced sound decision-making, improved cross-team alignment, and strengthened our collective ability to support responsible, mission-driven lending in rural Colorado.
