We're thrilled to celebrate Naya Rodriguez's well-deserved promotion to Portfolio Manager, advancing from her role as Senior Lending Specialist. This promotion recognizes her dedication, expertise, and commitment to supporting small business borrowers throughout her 3.5 years with FSWCF.
Naya started as a Lending Specialist, advanced to Senior Lending Specialist, and now steps into the role of Portfolio Manager.
As a small business owner herself, Naya brings firsthand experience to her work with entrepreneurs. She understands the challenges and opportunities that come with building a business, making her uniquely equipped to guide borrowers through their journey.
"Small businesses are the heart of our communities," says Naya. "They're what make our day-to-day lives, whether you're going for ice cream, having dinner, or heading to the gym for a workout. I'm passionate about supporting the entrepreneurs who create those experiences."
For Naya, the work goes beyond numbers and applications. "The most rewarding part of working at FSWCF is the ability to be a part of turning someone's dream into a reality," she explains. "Many of our customers don't realize how achievable it is to get their business up and running through the Community Fund. As long as they are willing to put in the work and go through the process with patience, they eventually get to the finish line and fund their business. Many of these businesses quickly become the hype of our communities, and it's exciting to see that happen."
In her expanded role as Portfolio Manager, Naya will continue providing guidance to entrepreneurs on FSWCF's various funding programs and managing the FSWCF loan portfolio. She'll also be responsible for identifying opportunities within the portfolio and matching appropriate products and services to fulfill client needs—ensuring that borrowers have access to the right resources at the right time to support their business growth.
